Jahangir Polash is a dedicated researcher and professional specializing in Sustainable Economics, Governance, and Coastal Climate Adaptation. He currently serves as the Renewable Energy Coordinator at CLEAN. Previously, he worked as the Dacope Upazila Manager for the NGO Forum for Public Health under the UNDP GCA project, driving local climate resilience and public health initiatives at the grassroots level.


Jahangir holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Economics from Khulna University. Hailing from Khulna, his deep-rooted connection to Bangladesh's climate-vulnerable coastal region drives his passion for coastal climate adaptation and community resilience. His unique strength lies in bridging the gap between rigorous academic research and practical, community-led field implementation.


Currently, his research and action focus on addressing critical energy crises in Least Developed Countries (LDCs) through sustainable renewable energy solutions. He is highly committed to formulating strategies that mitigate the massive economic burden and heavy loan dependencies caused by importing fossil fuels. Through his work, Jahangir aims to influence national policies and promote green energy models that empower developing nations toward long-term economic independence.
