Uttam Das

I am Uttam Kumar Das, currently working as a Renewable Energy Officer at the Coastal Livelihood and Environmental Action Network (CLEAN). With five years of professional experience in the development sector, I have worked in the areas of renewable energy, climate change adaptation, public health, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), disaster resilience, rainwater harvesting systems, coastal livelihood support, adolescent adaptive learning, hygiene promotion, and community-based development. I am committed to advancing sustainable development and improving the resilience and livelihoods of vulnerable communities across Bangladesh.

Throughout my career, I have contributed to several nationally and internationally funded development projects. I served as a Project Officer with the NGO Forum for Public Health under the UNDP–GCA Project in Paikgacha, Khulna, where I supported climate adaptation and community resilience initiatives. Previously, I worked as a Community Mobilizer with Dushtha Shasthya Kendra (DSK) under the BRAC–CBF Project, facilitating community engagement and project implementation. I also served as a Team Leader (WASH)*with Dushtha Shasthya Kendra (DSK) under the WF1st Project in Khulna, leading field teams and overseeing the implementation of water, sanitation, and hygiene interventions. In addition, I have facilitated Adaptive Learning Sessions for Adolescents, delivered WVG training in collaboration with the Cyclone Preparedness Programme (CPP), and implemented community hygiene promotion initiatives.

I have a strong interest in community-based renewable energy systems, clean energy technologies, climate-resilient development, and research-driven solutions that contribute to sustainable development. I believe that innovation, collaboration, and evidence-based decision-making are essential for addressing today's development challenges. Through my work, I aspire to contribute to Bangladesh's transition towards a cleaner, more resilient, and sustainable future.
